Our Governing Body

Our Governing Body

Cranham School is a Church of England Voluntary Aided (VA) School and is funded by central government and the local education authority.  The school is run in conjunction with the Governing Body which as well as providing strategic leadership aids in the day to day running of the school.

A majority of Governors, known as Foundation Governors are nominated by the Parochial Church Council (PCC) and appointed by the Diocesan Board of Education to represent the Church, but there are also Governors representing parents, staff and the Local Authority.

Roles and Responsibilities

Each member of the governing body is a member of either the Standards and Ethos (S&E) or the Finance and Enviroment (F&E) committee. Each member also takes on responsibility for individual subjects.
